For the next two weeks Irving is so lucky to be a part of the Art in Resident program. We will be visited by local artists who will work with our students on an art project. Our class will meet with the artist this week and next in the mornings.

Students finished their book report projects. They are now in our school library on display. Feel free to take a look and see their informative projects.

The Irving Variety show is on Tuesday May 7th.  There will be a dress rehearsal from 9-10 am on the 7th and then an evening performance.  This year participants are in 3-5th grade.  This will be a fun event showcasing Irving’s amazing kiddos!

Room 11 is quickly running out of snack. We typically only provide snack after first recess when we have donations. Thanks to the families who brought in snack at the beginning of the school year! Our class really appreciated it! If you are able to contribute, healthy snacks like crackers, fruit snacks, etc. would be much appreciated.

Thanks to everyone who was able to attend the field trip on Friday to the Glenwood refuse center. The students learned a lot and had a fun time!

This week students will be working in writing a book report and sharing them with the class. Each student will also be choosing a book report project to work on for the next 2 weeks that will showcase their chosen novel. We will display our projects in the library to encourage our Irving peers to read our chosen book titles. We are in need of cereal boxes. If you have any at home your child could bring in that would be great! Thanks! Next week, their book report projects will be displayed in our school library. If you have availability feel free to come and check them out!
