How to Help: We need your help to raise as much money as possible for the PTO.  The Irving PTO has helped purchase additional teacher time each year over the last 8 years.  PTO’s contribution to supporting students is invaluable.  In order to continue to provide the same support to Irving we need to raise as much money as possible during the Jog-a-thon.  The PTO has set a goal of $15,000.  If each student were to collect $45 in pledges we would reach our goal.  Please use the link below to contribute to the Jog-a-thon and also help spread the word via social media and email.  You can send links to friends and family as well.  Thanks for your efforts in supporting the Irving school community!

4th Grade Science Experiment Project

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. This week students will get to choose a science experiment, which will need to be completed at home, along with a parent letter explaining the science experiment presentation and a scientific method template for them to compete with their experiment. We will be doing an in class science experiment and working through the template once together so they will know how to work through the template with their own experiments at home. Please be on the lookout for this letter and their science experiment when students bring their portfolios home this week.

Thank you so much and looking forward to hearing all of the students’ presentations!

Sincerely,

Ms. Holliday & Mrs. Moss

Child Protection Unit

Hello Everyone,

I am writing to you to let you know that we will be starting our Child Protection Unit from Second Steps next week during our usual whole group reading time. A Family letter will be sent out in this week’s Friday folders. The letter gives you more information about the lessons themselves, and gives you the option for your child to opt-out of these lessons if you wish. Please be out on the lookout for this letter in Friday folders this week.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ms. Holliday & Mrs. Moss
