Does it seem like we are starting off the SHAPE grant activities a little Basketball heavy??  Pat McGillivray (MV b-ball) and Josh Wolfram (WHS) are on top of things and ready to go!

More activities are in the wings–so keep an eye out!!

Happy Halloween!!

New Bethel Weight Watchers Opportunity

All we need is 15 committed individuals to sign up and Weight Watchers will come to us.

Bethel staff with OEBB insurance will have 100% benefit coverage and Weight Watchers will do all the billing for you! Bethel staff with PacificSource will receive a partial benefit, with a PacificSource reimbursement of up to $100.

The SHAPE staff wellness grant currently has some funds available for employees without insurance to help pay for the program.

Would You Like To Lead A Fitness Activity?

funny-girl-exercise-Barbie-campIn our quest to start fitness classes at each of the schools, SHAPE is recruiting people who can lead activity classes for District staff. These include but are not limited to:

  • Healthy Cooking classes
  • Yoga
  • Zumba
  • Bike Riding groups
  • Hiking or Walking groups
  • or others…

Many of these Leaders will be paid an hourly wage, while Leaders of other groups will be volunteers.
We are looking first for people already employed by the district before opening it up to others. A Certification for some classes would be great, but is not required.

If you are ready to be a Leader please send the following to Jennie Kolpak:

  • Resume
  • Area(s) of expertise and experience
  • Three references.
