Weight Watchers!!

Ladies and Gentleman,

Did you know that your health insurance benefits include the option to attend Weight Watchers? It’s FREE for OEBB Members and their spouses!!! How can you pass up an offer like that? The meetings are a fun, convenient get-together to stay on track for a healthy life style! Weight Watchers isn’t just about losing weight but also learning good eating habits. (And who doesn’t need help with that!) J I know I have learned a lot about better eating habits and how important it is to take the time to take care of myself, whether it’s fitting a walk into my busy schedule or spending an hour at a Weight Watchers meeting with a group of people that care about helping each other succeed!!

So, if you are interested in joining, here’s how it works:

For Classified staff with OEBB insurance:

After October 1st, each of us on-our-own needs to call the WW office (541-342-5386, when the recorded prompts begins, hit 0 to get a real person).  We give them our insurance card #, name and address.  The office has 5-7 days to send out a meeting voucher (but of course they will try to get it out to us sooner).  Then we take the voucher to our first WW meeting.  That’s it!

For Certified staff (and Classified staff without OEBB insurance) :

Come to the first WW meeting and bring your checkbook. It is $155.35 for each 13 week session. (SHAPE reimburses $100 of that per calendar year.)

The first session starts Tuesday, October 7th. Weigh-in is from 4:00-4:15 and the meeting is from 4:15-4:45. The first three sessions (Oct 7, Oct 14 & Oct 21) are open for new members to sign up, so come and join us and see how much fun we have while encouraging each other toward our weight loss goals!

If you park in WHS’s North parking lot, cross through the outside courtyard, we are meeting in “The Getaway”. In the window there will be a white sign with WW on it.

We have a new leader this year, so come in and meet Lisa!

SHAPE 2014-2015!!

Circuit Classes starting next week!!

Julia Buck will be back to help get you moving!  The first class will be at Danebo on Monday from 4:15-5:15.  This is a lower impact circuit class and is soooo much fun!  On Wednesday, join Julia again for a higher impact circuit class in the Shasta weight room from 4:15-5:15!

We are starting the year with these two circuit classes–but soon will be adding another one on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:15.

Yoga, Tai Chi and Latin Fusion will be starting soon!

Stay Tuned!
