SHAPE is a grant-funded program designed to promote and foster health and wellness among Bethel School District employees. SHAPE seeks to address the primary health needs of physical activity, nutrition education and stress management through fun, rewarding and free activities open to all district staff.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, it’s another SHAPE Healthy Cooking class.

In the Amore Healthy Valentine’s Dinner class you will learn how to make an impressive meal for your sweetheart with Tomato Caprese Hearts, Stuffed Pork Loin, Chocolate Brownie with Candied Blood Oranges, and more.

Everything is provided for this free SHAPE class at Meadow View next Tuesday, February 3rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

SHAPE Update: Moving In The New Year

Yoga Expands

Due to popular demand a new SHAPE Yoga Class has begun. Join the fun on Tuesdays at Clear Lake, from 4:30-5:30.

Classes are FREE for all Bethel staff.

See for yourself why Yoga is noted for helping with relaxation, stress-relief, circulation and flexibility. It’s also known to improve core strength and breath control.


100 Mile Club

This one is easier than it sounds. Complete 100 “miles” of activity and earn a $10 gift card.  Earn up to three gift cards while the challenge is taking place.

1 mile or 15 minutes of heart rate increasing activity = 1 mile. Want some fun company? Join the SHAPE Walk-Run group every Thursday at Prairie Mountain.

Healthy Cooking Class Returns

SHAPE’s popular Healthy Cooking classes are resuming with a winter special: Identifying and preparing Winter Squash.  You will also be making Pumpkin Risotto and Baked Stuffed Squash.

UPDATE: The first class in the Meadow View kitchen on January 13th is now full. Email Jennie Kolpak to get your name on the list for a possible second session of this fun class.
