$1,000 Cash Winnings
Kalapuya and Shasta staff have won the high school and middle school levels of the Healthy Life Schools Challenge from PacificSource. Each will receive $1,000 for a healthy initiative at their schools.
- Shasta will use part of the money to purchase goal incentives to encourage staff to continue using pedometers, which were purchased from Shasta’s last Healthy Life Schools Challenge victory.
- Kalapuya will be making healthy juices every morning and introduce students to the world of creative juicing.
100 Mile Club
The 100 mile club is officially over for this school year. However, if you sent your log in yesterday or today it will still be honored. Close to 90 people reached the 100 mile club at least once and 42 Bethel staff members earned all three of their possible gift cards. You are still welcome to send in your miles to qualify for the 1000 mile club. Next fall the mileage clubs will be bigger and better.
