100 Mile Club
I Didn’t Know About That!
The SHAPE fitness classes continue to amaze first-time attendees. They love attending Yoga on Tuesdays at Fairfield (4:30), Circuit on Wednesdays at Shasta (4:15), and Zumba on Thursdays at Danebo (4:15).
Click here for a printable schedule and see what you’ve been missing.
Spring appears to have sprung so it’s time to clean out the system with some invigorating, free exercise opportunities courtesy of Bethel’s SHAPE staff wellness grant.
Here’s a reminder about the free fitness classes for all Bethel staff. Yoga on Tuesdays at Fairfield (4:30); Circuit on Wednesdays at Shasta (4:15); Zumba on Thursdays at Danebo (4:15). The 5:15 Circuit class was not working so we’ll cancel the 5:15 class for the rest of the year. Check the schedule and class description. Once you try one of these classes you’ll want to come back for more.
We now have a number of good Fitness DVD’s for check out. Email Nicole Zwink, our SHAPE Coordinator, for the selection list and you can exercise in the privacy of your own home.
100 Mile Club:
This popular goal is attracting more folks. You can earn a gift card for each 100 miles (or 15 minutes of a heart rate-increasing activity = 1 mile.), with a limit of 6 gift cards. Another drawing for the 500 and 1000 mile club gift cards will take place in June. Click here for a log form and send your logs to Nicole (she’s at Prairie Mountain.)
Have you changed your eating habits, lost weight, gained muscle, gotten healthier, etc. with the help of the SHAPE grant? We want to hear about it! Share your story with Nicole.
Pedometer Challenge Update:
Prairie Mountain just finished their pedometer challenge and the Kitchen staff teams dominated! The #1 team from the kitchen logged more than 400,000 miles each week.
Fairfield is starting its Pedometer Challenge next week and the District office is taking on the challenge when Fairfield is finished. Contact Nicole or your SHAPE representative to sign up for a Pedometer Challenge in May.
