On November 5th, 2015 our class embarked on a journey to the Autzen Stadium area around Alton Baker Park to explore the nature in our own community. We learned about local watersheds, ecosystems, plants, animals, and history of the world around our feet! We searched a pond for mysterious critters to identify with our magnifiers and we made temporary art out of earth materials! Thank you to parent volunteers and to Nearby Nature for the chilly but amazing afternoon of exploration and fun!
