Hello CMS Music Families!
We have an annual fundraiser for the CMS music program, to support the musical education and enrichment of your students! We will be selling chocolate bars from World’s Finest, starting March 20th and ending April 7th. Here are some important details.
This fundraiser is completely voluntary. Students who wish to participate will need parent permission. A form will be going home in the next few days; you can also email me back and I will reserve a box for your student to sell. This fundraiser is vital to our program; it allows us to repair instruments, buy new sheet music, purchase supplies, pay for field trip expenses, and more. If you feel your student has been enriched by the program here, please consider participating!
There is no upfront cost to families. I will hand each student with a permission form 1 box, valued at $60. At the end of the fundraiser, you simply turn in the money from candy sold, plus any unsold bars. As long as it adds up to $60, it’s all good. Customers can pay in cash, or via check to “Cascade Middle School”. In an effort to reduce left overs, I will be starting each student with only 1 box. They may check out a second if, 1) they have permission, 2) they have turned in their previous box, and 3) it is before March 24th.
Incentives! The class period to sell the most bars (per person) will earn a lunch time pizza party! Students who are in multiple classes will count for each class. Also, any student who is registering for a summer music camp (email to follow!) will be eligible for a $100 scholarship towards the cost of that camp. I will ask the family registering, or the camp directly, to confirm registration, then send a check from CMS directly to the organization on behalf of the student. Please let me know if you are interested in this offer!
The permission slip deadline is Wednesday, March 1st. I will then be ordering chocolate based upon the number of slips turned in. A parent/guardian email stating permission is also allowed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
