This week students will be taking their end of the year Bethel Writing assessment as well as their end of the year I-Ready Math test.  We’re excited to see student growth this year! They have been working extremely hard and we’re very proud of all their efforts.

This week for math homework please have your students play “Prodigy” for a minimum of 20 minutes. I have it setup so that the questions the kids are answering are practice questions for the state test that we will be taking during the week of May 13th-May 17th. If you don’t have internet or a device at home that allows your child to play prodigy, please have him/her practice their flashcards or play a math game.

The Irving Variety show is on Tuesday May 7th.  There will be a dress rehearsal from 9-10 am on the 7th and then an evening performance.  This year participants are in 3-5th grade.  This will be a fun event showcasing Irving’s amazing kiddos!

Room 12 is quickly running out of snack. We typically only provide snack after first recess when we have donations. Thanks to the families who have already been donating snack! Our kids have a tough time waiting until lunch! If you are able to contribute, healthy snacks like crackers, fruit snacks, etc. would be much appreciated.
