Homework Policy

Students are expected to return homework on time. I believe that by completing homework students are practicing skills learned in class, learning responsibility, and developing good study habits.

Math homework is due the next day. Students typically receive math homework nightly, M-TH. It’s double-sided. Sometimes math homework will be sent home on Fridays too.

Spelling homework is due the next day. Students usually receive spelling homework nightly, M-TH. It’s single-sided. Spelling tests are given on Fridays (Thursdays, if we have no school on Friday).

Read-at-Home (RAH) Forms

In third grade, students are should complete a Read-At-Home (RAH) Form every week. This form must have a parent signature in order to count. It will go home on Tuesday every week and is due on Tuesday every week. Students should read 20-30 minutes each day/night outside of school. Students earn incentives for the reading time they turn in at the end of each trimester.
