Our Book Fair was a great success. Thank you very much to all of the volunteers, it couldn’t of happened with out each and every one of you.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Open House and visited our Used Book Sale in the cafeteria. We raised $91.50 to go toward the purchase of new books for the Danebo Library!
Mrs. Gregory will be hosting a used book sale in the cafeteria during our Open House on Thursday, October 17th, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The books will be .50 ¢ each and are those that have been weeded from our library inventory because of duplication, content, or lack of circulation.
Funds will be used to purchase new books for the library and Mrs. Gregory can accept cash or check during the sale.
Meetings will be in the library after school. Only children with their permission slip returned will be able to stay for the meeting. There will not be a snack provided, but your child may bring a ‘reasonable snack for a library’ if they wish. It is important that your child is picked up on time.

A success! Thank you to all of the families that shopped our Book Fair. It was great to see all of the books being purchased that will be read this summer. But remember, the Book Fair could not go on without our wonderful volunteers. A shout out to those that made it happen…..Lynda Wolfram (and of course Carter), Tiffany Moen (and of course Kaci), Kristin Hiner (and of course Henry and Christine), Karin Landers (and of course Alyssa and Katelyn).
We did $1666.03 in sales with a profit of $833 going back to families (buy 1 get 1 free!)
See you in the Fall for our Book Fair Fundraiser,
Congratulations to Xitlali from Mrs. Greenamyer’s class. She won first place and received a leather bound journal and a set of writing pens!
Second place is Dannek from Mrs. Deverell’s class, and a tie for 3rd place between Brooklynn (Mrs. Deverell) and Katelyn (Mrs. Greenamyer).
Our 4th grade students have spent time studying poetry and have written some of their own poems, with great illustrations. Mrs. Deverell and Mrs. Greenamyer have come up with a contest for those who wish to enter. The work is posted on the bulletin board in the library and will be voted on this week. Each student and staff member will have a chance to read and vote on their favorite piece. One vote per person, please. It will all be anonymous (names are on the back with a number on the front).
