I am looking forward to getting to know all of my sixth grade students this year. In order to get to know them a little bit better I asked them to write down three of their future goals (high school and beyond). The students then chose the goal they most wanted to achieve and posted it on our hallway bulletin board.
Here are just a few:
-graduate high school
-graduate college
-become a singer
-create the best video game ever
-go to Japan
-help people
-own a restaurant
-rule the world
During the school year we will talk about how sixth grade is where we start preparing for these goals.
I’m very excited to meet the incoming sixth graders! This is my eighth year teaching math at Shasta Middle School. We have a lot to learn this year and I can’t wait to get started!
