Our spelling test will be given on Monday, May 14. Our next spelling test will be on Wednesday, May 23. Please study. The words are listed on Spellingcity.com.

Thanks for providing snacks for Room 8 this year. We serve snacks on Kleenex so we are running low. If you would please send in a box of Kleenex for this purpose it would be very helpful. The unscented ones work best since we are putting food on them.

Please work on one page each day. On Thursday please give your child the pretest. Have your child practice any words that they miss on the pretest. The words in the sentences are important to practice also. Please help your child to remember to put their homework in their backpack Thursday night. If they do not have a packet please call and let me know and I will give them another one. Packets that are not complete are counted as late homework.
If a child does not have their Spelling homework turned in Friday morning by 9:05, they are given a new packet to complete during recess.

I enjoyed talking to all the parents at Parent Teacher Conferences. I included my worksheet I used at conferences in the Tuesday envelope today. I wrote down items that we discussed at conferences. I hope this helps us work on areas that your child needs help with. Please call if you have any questions.

Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts whenever you have time in the car, during dinnertime, taking a walk, right before bedtime story, or whenever you can during your busy day.

Good News! Spelling Packet for List 25 will be due on Monday, March 12. If you already turned it in, you can relax this weekend. Please study the words on spellingcity.com. The test will be Monday. We will review the words in class before we take the test. I was sick Wednesday and did not communicate to the students what was expected. Sorry.

Please make sure your child’s spelling packet is finished and in their back pack tonight. It is due tomorrow at the beginning of the day. We will have a test tomorrow.

The 2nd and 3rd grade performance was magical last night. Everyone looked so great in their costumes. A big thank you to Aaron’s mom for making everyone a mask to wear if they wanted to.

Thank you parents for sending in treats for our Valentine party and for all that came to celebrate with us as well. We had a great time!
