26 players in 5 quads and a Swiss 6 competed on February 19th. The top quad was USCF rated again. Winners this time were Q1: Owen McCoy, Q2: tie Clifton Harris and Ben Kurtz, Q3: Joe Doerr, Q4: Yufei Su, Q5: Bryce Newell and Q6: Elliot Miller.

The next Bethel Quads are on Sunday, March 12th from 1:30 to 4:30. Just $10 to enter with the winner of each quad getting $10 and free admission to the next Bethel Quad. Remember if a quad chooses a longer time control, it will likely run later than 4:30. All quads are OSCF qualifiers and will be NWSRS rated. Quads also USCF rated if all members in a quad are USCF members. Send an email to mike.myers@bethel.k12.or.us to reserve a spot. Onsite registration between 12:30 – 1:15.

32 players in 8 quads competed on January 22nd. The quad had been originally scheduled for January 8th but mother nature’s snow and ice pushed it back. The top two quads were USCF rated this time. There were two quads with ties at the top while the other had outright winners. John Roe had the biggest rating surge of 205 points to get up to 954. Tune in this month to see it he makes it to triple digits…
