We had 16 players in 4 quads on February 9th. Ben Kurtz went 3-0 to win the top quad. Yet another 2-way tie in Quad 2, this time with Aidan Cagle and Zayne Harrelson. Max Murphy and Owen Laird both went 3-0 to win Quads 3 and 4, respectively. Sophie and Luis representing El Camino del Rio/River Road Elementary did an amazing job in their first tournament handling both notation and clock for the first time.

Complete results from the February’s Quads can be found at:

NWSRS results USCF results

All quads are OSCF qualifiers and NWSRS rated. Quads are also USCF rated when all members of a quad are USCF members.

The next quad is coming up on March 8th from 1:30 to 4:30. Just $10 to enter with the winner of each quad getting $10 and free admission to the next Bethel Quad. Remember if a quad chooses a longer time control, it will likely run later than 4:30.

Send an email to mike.myers@bethel.k12.or.us to reserve a pot. Onsite registration between 12:30 – 1:15.

Future quads dates: Apr. 5, May 3 and Jun. 7

**Don’t forget** about the K-12 OSCF Championships in Seaside coming up on April 24th and 25th!

To qualify you need:

1) one OSCF qualifier (like one of the Bethel Quads)

2) at least 8 NWSRS rated matches this school year (you get 3 at every quad)

3) at least 15 NWSRS total rated matches over your scholastic career

Let me know if you need additional games and we will try to arrange it between rounds or after your quad is complete.
