Mise en Scene

Mise en Scene is a French term loosely translated as “all that appears in the scene” and includes actors, where they are, props, scenery, lighting choices, framing choices, etc. etc. etc. It also refers to those different characteristics’ impact on the audience. When setting up a shot think about all that the audience sees and how that conveys the mood and story of your production.
