May 11, 2020: Week Two of Midsummer Night’s Dream

May 4, 2020: 6 Week Forecast!

Hi there!

Just wanted to give you all heads up about the next few weeks. The plan is for students to watch the play: Midsummer Night’s Dream, in 2 parts.

(Week 1 is Part 1 and Week 2 is Part 2.) Each week they will be journaling daily about what they observed in the video, 2-3 sentences. After that we will go through the play, scene by scene, noting setting, characters, new vocabulary and plot summary (for two weeks since there are 9 scenes).  I am thinking about doing the play as Reader’s Theater with sock puppets on Zoom.

We’ll see…

Anyway, that will take us to the end of May and, at that point, I will assign the Prequel/Sequel scene writing project. That assignment should take us to the end of the year.

As always, please call, email, text, if you have any questions or concerns:)
