Here is our last presentation related to genetics. I also handed out a review today. The test is Tuesday May 16th!
This is a fairly LONG section of notes, but it helps tie together all we have been talking about so far and adding some complexity. Many traits are tied to biological sex as a result of chromosomal differences between males and females. The presentation and video explore these ideas.
Today many students determined their blood type by performing a simple experiment.
We also took notes on blood type.
We looked at more Mendelian genetics today, using dihybrid crosses to understand the principle of Independent Assortment. Here are the notes that went along with the practice:

We spent time today taking notes on Meiosis. Though the test is not directly after spring break, make sure that you are aware of upcoming dates so that you are prepared.
