No School In Bethel Tuesday

Icy roads led to spinouts, crashes, closed highways, and closed schools Tuesday morning.

Icy roads and the forecast of continued freezing temperatures caused the closure of all Bethel schools and scheduled programs on Tuesday, November 23.

The notification of the media and others who had signed up with FlashAlert was delayed because FlashAlert was having unexpected problems throughout the state.

Normally you can receive email and text message notifications about weather or emergency-related school cancellations or delays via FlashAlert.

You can still click here to sign-up for FlashAlert, the free notification service. The system will be repaired and you will receive a message with updated information on the status of Bethel schools.

This is the same system Bethel School District uses to notify local media about school closures. You will receive your notification within minutes after the media is alerted.

Remember, in the case of bad weather conditions you are advised to check local media outlets – TV and radio – for any school closure or delay announcements.  If you hear nothing about Bethel on local radio or TV it means that Bethel Schools are on a normal schedule.
