Field Trip Scheduled
Our next field trip will be on May 23rd with the Nearby Nature program. We will be leaving at 9am and will return by 12:30 pm. Our class will need 4 parent volunteers and it will be first come first served. I will be sending home the parent volunteer form next week. Priority will be given to students that have not had a parent join us on a field trip this year.
Testing
We have completed our state reading test and will begin the math portion next week. I am very proud of how seriously the students are taking this. They are trying their best… and are super excited when they are done. Thank you parents for your support at encouragement at home!
Valentine Party!!
Our Valentine party will be on Tuesday, February 14th at 1:10pm. Parents are welcome to join us! If students are bringing valentines to share with their classmates they can start bringing them in this Thursday to deliver. Please do not attach candy or food items to valentines. Stickers, pencils or non-food items are encouraged if you want to attach something.
Manager Money
The students are working hard to earn Manager Money for the next two weeks. Ask them how they can earn the fake cash. Then, On December 13th, the will get to spend their hard-earned money at the Day of Giving store. All items are meant to be gifts for others and have been donated by staff and local businesses. Encourage your child to earn their money to go shopping! It is always a memorable event!
Fall Carnival
We will be attending our fall carnival on Monday, October 31st. Students can bring a costume to change into if they want. Costumes need to be simple (no make-up) and not gory. Please do not send weapons that go with the costume. Save those for trick or treating! Parents are welcome to go with us- not sure of the time yet. The schedule is still being determined but I will let you know asap.
Field Trip Info
Next Thursday we will be leaving promptly at 9am for our field trip to OSU for the Wood Magic program. Please have your student to school on time. Also, students need to bring a sack lunch (unless I have already ordered you a school lunch) and wear comfortable clothing. It will be a great trip!
Field Trip Planned
The first field trip of the year has been scheduled! Both 3rd grade classes will be going to OSU, for the Wood Magic program on October 13th. Clear Lake 3rd graders have been going on this field trip for many years and it always prove to be an outstanding experience and a great learning opportunity.
Homework Schedule
Each week students will be responsible for 3 assignments from my class. Homework will come home in their red folder. Please return it in the red folder the next day.
