Willamette High School wrestling coaches in Eugene, Oregon:
Rick O’Shea: Special Education teacher and wrestling coach for 19 years at Willamette High School.
Rick started wrestling in 5th grade. While wrestling for Harrisburg High School in Oregon he won a total of 7 State titles, was a High School National Champion in Greco, and a 2x National runner-up in Freestyle. In 1980 Rick attended the University of Oregon where he was a 3X National Qualifier. He was a Pac-10 champion and a 2x runner-up. After college he continued to train in both Freestyle and Greco as a member of the “Sunkist Kids” wrestling club. Rick was an All-American in both styles in the Senior division qualifying for ’84′ and ’88′ Olympic wrestling Trials. Rick has been coaching at every level since he completed his collegiate career at the U of O.

Michael Stockdale: Currently a student at Lane community College where he holds a 4.0 GPA, and a wrestling coach for Willamette. Michael is completing his degree at the University of Oregon. He plans to be a teacher of History.
Michael started wrestling his Freshmen year of high school at Willamette. While at Willamette he qualified for state his senior year, was a 4 year letter winner, and a team captain his Junior and Senior years. Michael begins his 4th formal year as a coach at Willamette high school.
Head Youth Club coach and Assistant High school coach:
Travis Indell: Attending OSU, husband and father.
Travis started wrestling in the 7th grade. While at West Albany High School Travis wrestled at Heavy Weight all 4 years, he was a 3X district placer, and a 2x State qualifier for West Albany High School. He was a 4 time letter winner and team captain his senior year. During the Fall Travis Coaches Youth Football for “Kids Sports”. Travis begins his 4th year as a volunteer coach at Willamette high school and as the co-head coach of Bethel Wrestling Club.
Assistant High School coach and Assistant Youth Club coach:
Adam Fugitt: Currently working to pay off his truck, and he is a wrestling coach for Willamette High School.
Adam started wrestling his freshman year of high school at Willamette. Adam qualified for the state tournament 2x and placing 7th his senior year. As a freshman at Southwestern Oregon CC Adam placed 3rd in the conference and qualified for the NJCAA National Wrestling Tournament. The following year Adam returned to his hometown to begin his new sport training in Kick boxing and other styles of mixed martial arts.
Assistant High School Coach:
Ralph Hendrickson: Retired engineer, husband and father of 3. Football coaching at various levels and is now assisting with wrestling for Willamette High School.
Ralph has a history of success as a High School and College Footballer. During his freshmen year of high school Ralph was the starting guard for his team while winning the San Diego city championships. Ralph competed the next 3 years in Oregon playing for a state championship his senior year. He was a First Team All-League O-Guard and Outside linebacker. The following year as a freshman at Mt Hood Junior College he started as a Defensive End/Outside Linebacker. His team finished the season #1 team in the nation and Ralph was a second team all league selection. After his sophomore year in college he elected to pursue his education and career as an engineer eventually working for and retiring from EWEB.
Assistant High School coach:
Russel Pascual: A Mechanical Engineering major at Lane Community College.
Russel started wrestling in the 6th grade for Kennedy. Russel wrestled 2 yrs at Churchill HS before transferring to Willamette HS his Junior year. In all he was a 4x state qualifier 2x district finalist, a 2x Freestyle and Greco Junior state placer, Freestyle and Greco National qualifier, and a 2011 Culture Exchange Trials Tournament champion in freestyle. By winning the Culture exchange tournament Russel was selected to be a member of the 2011 culture exchange team to Russia. Russel brings a love for wrestling and over 7 years of wrestling experience.
Athletic High School Trainer:
Tim Schley: resides originally form Buffalo NY.
As an Athletic Trainer, Tim has assisted with the medical coverage of wrestlers at every level of wrestling this country has to offer, aside from the World/Olympic Championships. He has assisted with medical coverage at the Oklahoma Gold wrestling tournament, the USA Wrestling “Northeast Senior Regional Championship Tournament” (“US Open” Qualifying tournament).
SUNY Brockport is the place Tim chose to pursue his bachelor’s degree and ultimately, his career as an Athletic Trainer. While attending SUNY Buffalo, Tim had the opportunity to work with 26 sports teams and specifically, one of the top Division III wrestling programs in the country. After completing his bachelor’s degree, Tim decided he would attend graduate school at the University of Oregon. In graduate school he spent his first year working as the Athletic Trainer for Springfield HS, and his second year working as the Athletic Trainer with the Oregon Ducks football team.
