This is the beginning of Module 2 for homework for us in Math. This is a unit that will look at numbers in a creative way and ask students to really be flexible with how they are thinking of numbers. Please remember to check out the Math websites listed on my blog if you would like to learn more about how these lessons are presented.

Here is a quick video that explains the process of dividing with decimals when you need to add zeros in order to get the final answer.

If your child is struggling with the place value chart on the front of the homework, please just have them use the “standard algorithm”  in order to solve the problem at the right of the homework. Dear Families,
We are well underway here in class with our routines. I am pleased to share that we are almost finished with the first module of Math and next week we will also start Unit 2 in our Reading program.

Homework
Please remember that your child has nightly Math and Reading homework, due back to school the following day. If I do not assign homework one evening I will always send home a special note with your child.
