End of First Quarter!

Well done Meadow View 6th graders! You have completed your first quarter in middle school. Salmon Watch is coming quickly upon us on November 18. Any parent volunteers would be gladly accommodated. Also, get your OBOB teams together, we will be battling in February! Also, the Geo Bee is also coming this December, Get your atlases out and quiz your friends on Geography.

2nd Week!

We had an amazing first week of school, conquering that formidable opponent, the middle school locker!

Please make sure that you bring your PE clothes this week: white shirts, navy/black shorts, athletic shoes.

Also, we do not send home official Tuesday folders but give students material to bring home as it reaches us. 6th graders are responsible for becoming a part of the communication between school and home.

Have a wonderful 2nd week!

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to Meadow View, 6th graders! I was  delighted to meet many of you and your families last night! I hope no one is too discouraged by the lockers. All will be well:)

Please bring all supplies to school on the 6th. We will get everything put in their proper places as well as delve into the Mystery of the Binder.

I have posted the new OBOB list for students to get started on their reading for this year. I will be coaching the 6th grade team!

I will have constant updates on this blog. Please check often as major news events are posted here.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. C

End of the year!

I can’t believe we are already here! This year has been amazing and I am sad to see it come to an end. The 6th graders have worked very hard and I have been delighted to watch them progress in their learning.

Some end of year reminders:

Students will have their official locker cleanout on Monday, the 13th.

On Tuesday, we will be going to Richardson Park. Please bring desserts/fruit for Mrs. C’s homeroom. Mr. Dibos is collecting sides. We are still collecting money ($2.50) for the field trip so that Mrs. Waters can buy all of the food, condiments, etc.

Wednesday is the last day of school. It is a half-day. Students need only to bring themselves and a good pen for signing yearbooks/autograph books.

Congratulations and happy summer!

Forest Field Day 2011

We had an incredible and thought provoking day at the Bauman Family Tree Farm. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers for taking the time to come out and share the experience with us. Students learned about the many facets of the Forestry Industry as well as about Forestry sustainability. The students were well prepared and I heard from many volunteers that they were well mannered and focused. Great job representing Meadow View!
