Week of January 10, 2011
We survived our first week back! I was delighted by how ready students were to start their hard work again and had a lot of fun seeing everyone and hearing their vacation stories. This week, math students will be taking the Bethel District Easy CBM math test.
Also, OBOB coaching has begun. OBOB team members are meeting on Fridays during their lunch to read and prepare for the upcoming battles in February.
Finally, thank you for all of the enthusiastic responses in regard to the UO Brain Bowl in May. Since we had such a large response, students will be taking a preliminary test to help us to decide on the 6th grade 6-person team. Natalie Oliver, a 7th grade teacher here at MV, will be administering this test sometime before January 25.
