Forest Field Day 2011
We had an incredible and thought provoking day at the Bauman Family Tree Farm. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers for taking the time to come out and share the experience with us. Students learned about the many facets of the Forestry Industry as well as about Forestry sustainability. The students were well prepared and I heard from many volunteers that they were well mannered and focused. Great job representing Meadow View!
Forest Field Day
Tomorrow the whole 6th grade will be going into the woods. Please dress appropriately for forest life and any kind of weather. No flipflops or sandals and please wear long pants. This will be an all day field trip.
Brain Bowl 2011
On Monday, May 2, 2011, Meadow View participated in the University of Oregon’s Brain Bowl for Lane County middle school students. Our students competed against other middle school teams, Jeopardy style, battling for a chance to be in the final round. Division A (the 6th grade team) won their first round and then placed 2nd by a mere 100 points in the Division A Final. Our Division B teams also did well, placing 3rd and 1st in the preliminary rounds. Congratulations Meadow View!
