SOTM: June 2012

D.J. Shamblin – General Biology

A somewhat reserved young man, this top performing freshman was chosen because of the hard work he has exhibited. He has one of the highest biology grades and performed well throughout the school year. He is a quiet leader who shows interest in the subject. He is a good team player and while he asks few questions, they are always good ones. These traits combined with his positive attitude will allow DJ to be successful as he continues through her high school years and beyond into her career of choice.

SOTM: May 2012

Chris Dehart – General Biology

Chris is a talented young man who is very intellectually capable. This high flying freshman was chosen because of his interest and ability. He has one of the highest biology grades and performed well on all of our test. He is a good team player and asks good questions. I hope to see him in the future in Astronomy, but he will be successful in whatever he pursues. He is a gifted scientist and I hope he will continue on in the sciences (maybe even a career in the sciences).

SOTM: April 2012

Cameron Whitehead – General Biology

This young man was chosen because of the hard work and positive attitude he has exhibited. He has consistently been one of the highest performing biology students. He always makes the extra effort to come in an get help when he is not completely understanding the material that we are covering. He is a good team player and asks good questions. I look forward to having him in class in the future (in Astronomy) as he is a fine young man. Cameron will be successful in whatever he does and hopefully his future career will include something science related.

SOTM: March 2012

Bailey Lincoln Bates – General Biology

This freshman was chosen because of the hard work she has exhibited. She has one of the highest biology grades and performed well on our tests. She is a good team player and asks good questions. These traits combined with her positive attitude will allow Bailey to be successful as she continues through high school and beyond. Hopefully her future will include more sciences.

SOTM: February 2012

Jessica Cox – Botany

Jessica is a bright young lady who throws herself into whatever she is doing. She in patient, kind, and motivated…a combination we unfortunately don’t see enough of. Her work ethic is spectacular and I am confident that anything she sets her mind to will get done and with a high level of performance and style. I hope to see her again next year in Astronomy! She will be very successful in whatever pursuit she engages.

SOTM: January 2012

Alana Dietz – Botany

I feel pretty luck to have had this young lady twice, once in Biology and now in Botany. She is a great team player and asks good questions. She is always willing to work hard and shows interest in the subject. These traits combined with her effervescent personality will allow Alana to be successful as she continues through her high school years and beyond into her career of choice.

SOTM: December 2011

Rebecca Falleur – Botany

Wow, what a phenomenal young lady. While she has said herself she really is not a “science person,” she has one of the highest grades in Botany. She is an excellent team player and asks good questions. She is always willing to work hard and has been able to relate the material from class to her art interests. Not only is she a good student, but a great person and while I’m a little disappointed I did not get to have her in my Biology class, she should see much success through her high school years and beyond into her career of choice.

SOTM: November 2011

Hannah Brand – Botany

A quiet young lady, Hannah is a bright young lady who really applies herself. She is consistantly one of the top performers within all of my classes and really seems to show an interest in the subject matter. These traits combined with her positive attitude will allow Hannah to be successful as she continues through her high school years and beyond into her career of choice. It is too bad I didn’t get to have her in my Biology class as well.
