Putting skill to practice
This is the title of a wonderful book that I am using with 1st and 2nd graders in Character Club. We have been learning about the term “bystanders” and how to step up and say “That’s not cool!” if they see kids bully at school. Next week we will being talking about how to choose their own individual way to say “what you are doing at my school is not okay” and then practicing these words in various role play scenarios.

How can it possibly be May?? As we begin to put end of the year plans in place, I am reminded that I have not met my Blog goal that I set for myself this school year. So…..no time like the present.

I am going to make this work this year. This is a perfect way to share information with students and parents about activities that are up and coming. I am hoping that I can learn to do this from my ipad at home……or the football field while my son has practice or the car when I am wating for my daughter while she is at piano lessons.

Welcome back to a new school year! I love this time of year…….getting reacquainted after the summer and meeting new friends.
