Field Trip to the Stauffer-Will Farmstead
When: Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Where: Stauffer-Will Farmstead (Old Aurora Colony) 13551 Stauffer Rd NE, Hubbard, OR 97032
Why: In 4th & 5th grade, students learn about the Oregon Trail, settlers and colonists. This trips gives students a chance to experience a day in the life of a Oregon settler. They will have a chance to make candles, bake bread, saw wood, etc.
What students will need to bring:
- A lunch (unless you need school lunch)
- Snacks
- Water
- A book or activity for the bus ride (Teachers will have an activity book for you.)
Please wear: comfy clothes and comfy shoes – You will be walking most of the day.
Be at school by 6:50 am. We leave promptly at 7:00am. We will have breakfast on the bus.
You’ll be working and building things all day on this trip therefore, all electronics including cameras are not permitted.
