The Lady Wolverines will host Pendleton in an OSAA Girls Basketball Playoff game on Friday, March 7 – 7 pm in the Wolverine Den.
The Bucks bring an 11-14 record on the road to meet the #1 ranked Lady Wolverines. The Winner advances to the OSAA State Basketball Tournament at Matt Knight Arena – on Wednesday for a 1:30 pm tip-off.

Congratulations to the Willamette Girls Basketball Team who finished the league season undefeated and won the Midwestern League Title for the first time since 2009!
Willamette will play a HOME PLAYOFF GAME ON FRIDAY, MARCH 7 – 7 PM against an opponent tba.
A victory on Friday will vault the defending champion Wolverines to Matt Knight Arena for the OSAA State Basketball Tournament March 12 – 15!
Willamette Boys completed their season with a victory over Marist on Senior Night but finished out of the playoffs. The Boys finished the year 8-14.
The Basketball games cancelled due to snow have both been moved to Saturday, February 15 as follows (Frosh/JV2, JV and
Girls vs South Eugene at Willamette 1pm, 1pm and 2:30 pm
Boys at South Eugene 3:00; 4:45 and 6:30 pm
Willamette PE Teacher Josh Wolfram has been hired as the new Head Track Coach for this Spring!
Mr. Wolfram is in his first year at Willamette High School teaching Physical Education and ironically was hired to replace the retired PE teacher Tom Miller. Now Coach Wolfram will replace Coach Miller as the Head Track Coach. Prior to coming to Willamette, Coach Wolfram taught and coached at Eagle Point High School.

The #1 Ranked Lady Wolverines host the #7 ranked Marist Spartans in Midwestern League action tonight at the Wolverine Den!
Both teams are undefeated in league play – with Willamette having the slight edge at 3-0 over Marist at 2-0.
Marist is coached by former Willamette head coach Terry Harrison -and they have played well of late – winning their last 6 games.
Tonight’s game begins at 7 pm!
Tuesday was a good night for the Wolverine Basketball teams!
The Boys hosted the 8th ranked Millers and defeated a talented Springfield team 64-51 in the Wolverine Den in front of a Wolverine Nation Student Section that cheered Willamette to victory! Willamette is now 2-1 in league play and will host SHELDON on Friday, January 24 at 7 pm!
The Lady Wolverines traveled across town to Springfield where they got off to a terrific start and cruised to a 68-40 victory. Willamette is undefeated in league play (3-0); ranked #1 in the 5A polls – and have only one blemish on their season record – a loss to South Medford before the Holiday Break on the road. South Medford is the #1 ranked 6A team. Willamette now travels to Sheldon on Thursday, January 23 for a 7 pm game with the 6A Irish!
Congratulations to Lady Wolverine Lexi Bando who was recently nominated for the 2014 McDonalds All American game in Chicago on April 2.
Nominee’s will find out in late January who the 24 selections are to actually participate in this game.
Willamette hosted an 18-team Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Action began at 9 am and concluded at 5 pm. Willamette SR Joe Jones took home first place honors in the 160 lb weight class. Joe also took first place at the Las Vegas Invitational Holiday tournament and is currently ranked among the elite in the state! Sam Henrikson received 3rd place honors at 145 lbs and Cordell Clark earned a 5th place finish at the tournament. Willamette finished in 9th place out of the 18 teams who attended. Congratulations to Coaches Rick Oshea, Michael Stockdale and Travis Indell for a great day of wrestling!

Willamette Wrestling team hosts an 18-Team Wrestling Tourney on Saturday, December 28 beginning at 9 am – and the list of teams is very impressive!
6A Teams include Sheldon, South Eugene and Thurston.
5A Teams include Churchill, Parkrose, Springfield and Willamette
4A Teams include Cottage Grove, Elmira, Junction City, North Bend, North Valley, and Siuslaw.
1A State Champion Lowell and runner-up Culver will also be attending this year’s tournament and will bring a load of talented kids to the tournament.
Admission is $5 – Adults; $3 – Students and 6 and under free! The Bethel Booster Club BBQ will also be serving their famous hamburgers and big dogs - so see you at Willamette on Saturday!
