The 2nd ranked West Albany Bulldogs edged Willamette 3 – 0 in the OSAA Softball State Playoffs on Wednesday, May 22. In a wet and cold affair – the Bulldogs got some timely hitting and solid pitching to advance to the quarterfinals. Willamette played well – even after a 30 minute rain delay which required the West Albany coaches and personnel to ‘fix’ the field and remove puddles from the soaked field. Coach Darren Hatefi is very proud of this year’s team and their 16 – 9 record. Congratulations on a great year and with losing only 4 seniors off of this years team – next year looks BRIGHT!
