The Summer Season is upon us, as many of our athletic programs are planning/preparing for Summer activities to keep Willamette Athletes engaged and in shape – here is a partial list of these activities which begin Tuesday, May 26:
Football Workouts: 3:30 – 5 pm – WHS Stadium (open to 8th-12 graders)
Girls Basketball: 3:30-5 pm – WHS Main Gym (open to all 8-12 graders)
Boys Basketball: 6 – 8 pm – WHS Main Gym (open to all 8-12 graders)
Baseball : 5 – 7 pm – WHS Baseball Field (open to 8th-12 graders)
Soccer and Volleyball will begin workouts later this Summer – contact the coaches for more information.

Willamette Girls Tennis Player Ivana Bilski has advanced to the OSAA State Quarterfinals in Singles and will play on Friday morning at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center! Good Luck Ivana!
Congratulations to the Willamette Varsity Boys Golf Team who received OSAA Academic All State Honors with their 3.62 Team GPA (WHS finished in 5th place out of 51 Golf Teams)! Varsity Team members include: Chris Dehart,SR; John Johnson, SR; Connor DRath, JR; Chris Stowell, JR; Ben Davis, SO; and Noah Burke, SO! Way to go Guys! The Varsity Golf team is coached by Adam Walker and Barry Bokn.
Willamette Girls Tennis player Ivana Bilski has won her first round match at the OSAA Girls Tennis Championship in Portland, and will advance Thursday afternoon to play in the 2nd round.
Ivana, a foreign exchange student from Norway who is attending Willamette on a one-year cultural exchange, took 2nd place at the Southwest Conference Tennis Tournament in Medford on Saturday, May 16 to earn a spot at the State Tournament. Coach Fred Brownlee believes that Ivana has been a great addition to the team this year, and is excited for her 2nd round match.
Willamette Girls Tennis finished in 6th place at the Conference Tournament. Willamette Boys Tennis finished in 8th place and had no state qualifiers.
Willamette Junior Connor Drath shot an 82-82 at the OSAA Golf Tourney at Emerald Valley Golf Course on May 18-19, while Willamette Senior Maddie Ardueser shot an 80-74 to finish in a tie for 12th at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis. Congratulations to both golfers for making it to State!
The Southwest Conference is co-hosting District Track with the Midwestern League at Silke Field (Springfield High School) on May 14 and 16!
Willamette Track athletes will compete to qualify for OSAA State Meet to be held at Hayward Field (University of Oregon) on May 21, 22 and 23.

Congratulations to WHS Junior Connor Drath and Senior Maddie Ardueser who both have qualified for the OSAA State Golf Championship Tournament.
Connor tied for 2nd as he carded a 79 at the Regional Tournament on May 11 at Tokatee Golf Club! Willamette’s team finished in 3rd place (the top 2 advance to the State Tournament. Willamette’s Ben Davis lost in a sudden death playoff as there was a tie for the 5th and final spot.
Maddie earned an automatic qualified bid to the tournament with her 77.5 stroke average through the 5 counting matches this season.
The Boys tournament will play May 18-19 at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell while the Girls tournament will be held at Trysting Tree in Corvallis on the same days.

The final league season games for the Willamette Softball Teams have been moved to Friday, May 15 due to a family emergency.
Game times will be 3 and 5 pm here at our Varsity and JV fields vs South Medford High School.
It’s Senior day for our Softball players playing their final game for the Wolverines, so we’ll have a celebration following the game!

The Willamette Boys Golf team advanced to the Special District Tournament on May 11 with their 4th place finish in the Southwest Conference. Willamette will now compete against teams from the Greater Valley Conference (Salem Area) at Tokatee Golf Club with the top two teams and top 5 individuals advancing to the OSAA State Boys Golf Championships on May 18-19 at Emerald Valley Golf Club.
Maddie Ardueser (Sr) earned an automatic qualifier berth into the OSAA State Girls Golf Championships with her top two finish in the individual competition of the Southwest Conference. The girls will play at Trysting Tree on May 18-19.
Today’s boys and girls tennis matches with Churchill High School have been postponed to Monday, April 27.
Boys will be at Churchill and Girls at home. Start time is 4 pm
