The Willamette Boys Basketball Team will host South Medford tonight in Southwest Conference League Play. Willamette is coming off a tough 1 point loss last Friday at North Medford, losing a close one 50-51.
Willamette Coach Chad Carpenter is optimistic with his young Wolverines (only two Seniors on this year’s squad) as they continue play better defense each time out.
Willamette’s Girls Basketball played Tuesday at South Medford so they have tonight off.
Willamette Boys Basketball will play at home on Friday, December 12 vs Marist HS at 7 pm (JV and Frosh play at 5:15).
The Lady Wolverines will travel to Marist on Thursday, December 11 for a non-league contest against the Spartans. JV2 play at 4 pm; JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:15.
Willamette Swim Team travels to Willamalane Pool in Springfield on Friday for a dual meet with the Millers. Competition begins at 4 pm.
Willamette Wrestling will be at Sheldon on Thursday, December 11 for a double dual with both Pleasant Hill (6 pm) and Sheldon (7 pm).

Winter Sports Season is upon us at Willamette High School and this week as we begin competition. Wednesday, December 3 our boys travel to Springfield High School for a non-league basketball game (game times 5:30, 5:30 and 7 pm). Girls travel to North Eugene on Thursday, December 4 for a non-league basketball game (JV and Varsity at 5:30 and 7 pm). Our Swimmers head to Willamalane Pool in Springfield on Friday for the Springfield Relays at 3 pm and finally Boys Basketball returns to Willamette for their home opener Friday against North Eugene High School – game times are 5:15, 5:15 and 7 pm which will be the home game times this year. Willamette will host our Winter Sport Night on Tuesday, November 25 at 6 pm in the Willamette High School Main Gym.
Ice cream is provided by the Bethel Booster Club and the Senior Party Parents will be on hand to display some of their Spirit Items.
Parents who attend can use their agenda as a discount coupon for 2 for 1 at any home contest or get $10 off a Winter Sport Family Pass, available at all home games.
Come out and meet with your child’s coach and enjoy some ice cream.
The Winter Sports Season begins today at Willamette High School (Monday, November 17).
Students must complete an Athletic Packet found in the main office and turn into the Library. No money will be collected at this time – just completed Athletic Packets.
Willamette is in the process of hiring a new bookkeeper, and therefore athletic fees will be assessed later in the season.
Winter Sports include Swimming, Wrestling, Boys and Girls Basketball and Dance Team! Cheer will also continue from the Fall Season.

Willamette earned the 6th place trophy at the OSAA 6A State Volleyball Tournament held at Liberty High School November 7-8, 2014.
Willamette Senior Alycia Wodke was selected to the 1st Team All Tournament team as Willamette lost to Clackamas HS on Friday to put them in the Consolation bracket. Willamette beat Southridge on Saturday morning and lost a tough 5-set match on Saturday afternoon to earn the 6th place trophy.
The Lady Wolverines will play Clackamas HS on Friday, November 7 at the OSAA 6A State Tournament at 3:15 pm at Liberty High School.
Willamette earned this quarter-final berth with their straight set victory over South Eugene on Saturday Night. A victory on Friday afternoon will send Willamette into the semi-finals on Friday night with the winner of the Central Catholic/Southridge game. A rooter bus filled with Willamette Students will be making the trip on Friday to cheer on the Lady Wolverines! Good luck ladies!

Willamette Senior Alycia Wodke was named Southwest Conference Player of the Year and unanimous member of the 1st Team All Conference Team by a vote of the SWC Coaches! Also receiving 1st Team All Conference honors were Seniors Emily Eckart and Tory Bennett. Junior Alyssa Gayle received 2nd Team Honors while Sophomore Emily Henderson received Honorable Mention honors. The Wolverines will host South Eugene on Saturday, November 1 at 7 pm as they are one victory away from back-to-back trips to the OSAA State Volleyball Tournament. Willamette is currently ranked #3 in the state, but face an excellent South Eugene squad who also swept their first round match 3-0 against a higher ranked McMinnville team. Good Luck Wolverines!
The Lady Wolverine Volleyball team advances into the 2nd round of the OSAA Volleyball Playoffs by defeating the Tigard Tigers 25-10, 25-11 and 25-12 for a 3-0 set victory.
Willamette will host the winner of the South Eugene at McMinnville match on Saturday at a time TBA.
Willamette Boys Soccer will advance to the OSAA Playoff game on Saturday (opponent and time tba) after their convincing 2-0 victory over the Tualatin Timberwolves on Tuesday night. The Wolverines overcame the rain, cold and a bit of a late start (due to bus issues by the Timberwolves) to secure the shut-out.
Saturday Play-off information will be determined on Wednesday morning. Congratulations to the Wolverine Boys Soccer Team!
